5 Things People Should Know About Me
It's the start of a new year so I'd like to re-introduce myself to you!
1. Family : My family is the #1 most important thing to me. I married my high school sweetheart and together we have two fun-loving, energetic kiddos. We enjoy traveling, exploring fun and new areas around our neighborhood and of course, watching movies curled up on the couch!

2. Business : I've officially been in business for nearly TEN years and it's crazy to think about how far I've already come. What started out as a side job lead me to explore more creatively and turn this into something amazing that I'm just so passionate about. None of it ever feels like a job where I don't get excited about each client I meet and photograph and I still get butterflies before each session. Making my clients happy and excited about their photos, whether it's their first session with me or their tenth is the best feeling; finding my niche with maternity, newborn and family photography has made my heart so happy and full. I also just started teaching a Camera Basics Class to parents who own a nice DSLR camera but only photograph in the AUTO mode. Click here to learn more!
If you're interested in booking a session with me, email me and we can chat about your wants and needs!
3. Passion : When I'm not photographing clients or working, you can find me in the kitchen or out exploring new things. I do have two kiddos after-all, so we are never around just doing nothing! We like baking, turning our music on and dancing (We Dance In This Kitchen!), trying new recipes off of Pinterest and working on different art projects.
4. Foodie : If not in our own kitchen, you can find us at different restaurants around town trying new places. We live in a pretty amazing location outside of Chicago in the southwestern suburb of Naperville where it is bursting with everything from well-known restaurants to local farm to table spots. I'll be talking more about these places in an upcoming post if you're in the area and looking for fun and new places to try!
5. Travel : The last thing I wanted to talk about is something I hope to do more of this year and that's traveling. While I probably couldn't live anywhere but here, I love checking out new places and cultures. I always love seeing a map my grandma keeps in her basement with pins poked into all of the cities all over the world that she has visited. My husband gets to frequent California for work so the kids and I every once in a while get to tag along and I have made friends with some families out there that we can either visit with or I can use the opportunity to get creative and have unique sessions we don't get to have in unpredictable Chicago! Check out this session I did for my in-laws in beautiful Redondo Beach! Since my camera pretty much goes with me everywhere, I'd love to connect if you are in another state and would like to book a special session! Just email me for details!
