Nestled in the heart of this coastal paradise lies the Terranea Resort, a haven of luxury and relaxation. But for me, this haven became more than just a getaway – it became the backdrop for a heartfelt photographic journey and a fun challenge capturing our family’s annual holiday photo.

In the bustling world we inhabit, finding time to gather with family can be a challenge. Yet, those moments of togetherness are the threads that weave the tapestry of our lives. For me, these threads are not only my personal connections but also the inspiration behind my craft. My why.
My journey began with a vision: to capture the intricate dynamics of our family against the breathtaking backdrop of Terranea Resort. The sprawling grounds, rugged cliffs, and pristine beaches offered the perfect canvas for this photographic storytelling. From candid moments to carefully choreographed portraits, I aimed to encapsulate the love, joy, and shared history that bound our family together - and the traditional “goofy photo” as well! This year, we welcomed two new family members through engagements and have a third on the way this winter!
Unveiling the Resort's Beauty
Terranea Resort, situated on the picturesque Palos Verdes Peninsula, is a paradise on the Southern Californian coastline. With its Mediterranean architecture, lush gardens, and panoramic ocean views, the resort provided an idyllic setting for this ambitious project. Each corner of the resort offered a unique backdrop – from the dramatic cliffs overlooking the Pacific to the tranquil gardens bursting with vibrant blooms and succulents.
As the sun danced across the horizon, I used natural light to my advantage, infusing photos with a warm, ethereal glow. The contrast between the rugged coastline and the refined elegance of the resort mirrored the intricate facets of family relationships – strong yet tender, raw yet beautiful.
