Tips for Photographing Newborn Images on Your Own

For most of us, this time is not the most exciting or positive.  If you’re like me, you’ve been circling dates on the calendar where we can see friends and family again, then unhappily, scratching them off and circling new ones.

For some of you though, you’re newly pregnant or just gave birth to a beautiful new baby and wish more than anything you can have this time photographed and documented by a professional.  I am taking on in-home lifestyle clients at this time (click here to schedule a free phone consult to go over all the details!) but if you're still not at that comfort level and want to take your own photos, keep reading!

So I’ve found a temporary solution for you!  I have a very user-friendly PDF that goes over some quick tips and tricks for you to take some photos until we can schedule something more concrete on our calendars.  In this PDF, you’ll read about different angles to use, where to find the best lighting and some location ideas within your home that will be just perfect for getting these early moments documented.

I also offer virtual photography classes for anyone who would like to learn how to perfect their everyday photos and get their cameras out of auto mode.  Believe me, I’ve taught kids as young as 7 how to shoot in manual and they’ve figured it out so you definitely can too!  I offer group classes in person but am finding that one-on-one meetings online are working the best so I can work with you and your camera uninterrupted.

I wish you health and positivity and hope to see you later this Spring or Summer!
